Sustainable Resource Management (WAMITAB)

Operator Qualification

Learners will develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a broad range of job roles within the waste and resource management industry.

This qualification is aimed at new and existing staff that need to understand the underlying principles of sustainable resource management to ensure services are delivered to a high standard.

Sustainable Resource Management (SRM) is a flexible qualification that can be tailored to meet the requirements of specific job roles within the recycling sector. These include:

  • Waste/Recycling operative

  • Transfer station operative

  • Compost Operative

  • Household Waste Recycling Operative

  • Manual/Mechanical Street Cleaner

  • Waste/Recycling Collection Driver

On completion of the qualification learners will be able to evidence the competency required to work safely and effectively in a variety of waste management and recycling operations.

SKILLCERT has previously integrated manual handling, customer service and driver CPC training into the SRM qualification for our existing client base.

 

Sustainable Resource Management (WAMITAB)

Management Qualification

The WAMITAB Management Qualification is nationally recognised and aimed at individuals in team leading, supervisory and middle management roles in the recycling sector.

The qualification has a specific waste management focus and develops the knowledge, skills and performance of team leaders and supervisors within waste facillities. The qualification will assess an individual’s ability to deal with complex and technical management queries more effectively.

This is a flexible qualification that can be tailored to meet the requirements of specific management job roles in the recycling sector. These include:

  • Refuse collection supervisor

  • Transfer station operative

  • Sustainability officer

  • Treatment supervisor

  • Landfill supervisor

  • Materials recycling facility supervisor

On completion of the qualification learners will be able to evidence the competency required to work safely and effectively in a variety of waste management and recycling operations.

SKILLCERT has previously integrated emotional intelligence, lean and environmental compliance training into the WAMITAB Management qualification for our existing client base.

 

Business Improvement Techniques (BIT)

BIT is a nationally recognised qualification that provides learners with the skills to identify and implement continuous improvement activity within their place of work.

The qualification is suitable for new and existing staff and will provide a thorough introduction to lean methodologies. On completion of the qualification the learner will be able to successfully contribute to company wide continuous improvement activities.

SKILLCERT has previously integrated six sigma, leadership and project management specific training into the BIT qualification for our existing client base.

The Business Improvement Qualification is currently fully funded at level 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

 

Customer Service

The customer Service Qualification is aimed at individuals who provide customer service as part of their daily role. The qualification will develop an individual’s knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure that they provide a high-quality of customer service.

The Customer Service Qualification can also be designed to provide more advanced knowledge, skills and behaviours if required. For example, the qualification can be tailored to support and assess an individual’s ability to deal with more complex and technical situations.The course can also be tailored to have a focus on developing and assessing the competence of management staff within the customer service environment.
